30-Minute Management Skills Webinars

Delegation Without Abdication

You need to delegate. But every time you hand something off, either the quality isn't where it needs to be or you find yourself quietly taking the work back. The issue usually isn't your team's capability. It's the handoff itself. This October series teaches one practical skill: How to delegate effectively in ways that maintain quality and build the people doing the work.

Session Details

Each session is 30 minutes. All three sessions are recorded and sent to registrants. Each session stands alone, but together they build a complete approach to handing off work in ways that actually stick.

Webinar 1: Deciding What to Delegate (October 07)

One of the biggest reasons managers don't delegate enough is that they're not sure who's ready. This session covers a practical readiness framework that helps you make that call with more confidence, including what to do when someone isn't quite there yet but will be soon.

Webinar 2: Setting Clear Expectations (October 14)

Most delegation problems are set up by the handoff. When someone doesn't know what success looks like or when to ask for help, quality drops and frustration follows. This session focuses on the conversation that happens before the work begins.

Webinar 3: Letting Them Struggle (October 21)

Once you've delegated well, the hardest part is often staying out of the way. This session is about learning to tell the difference between struggle that develops capability and struggle that signals a real problem, so you can make a thoughtful call instead of just reacting.

Who Should Attend

This series is for managers who:

  • Hand things off and end up redoing them or stepping back in before they're done

  • Know they need to delegate more but worry about what happens to quality when they do

  • Jump back in too quickly when someone hits a rough patch, without stopping to consider whether they should

  • Want to use delegation as a development tool, not just a way to manage their own workload

If you manage people and want to hand off work in a way that actually works, this is for you.

What You'll Walk Away With

After this series, you'll have:

  • A readiness framework for deciding what to hand off and to whom

  • A pre-delegation conversation structure that sets people up to succeed

  • A practical tool for deciding when to step back in versus let someone work through it

  • One concrete thing to practice after each session the next time you delegate
